DESCRIPTION:Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC) School Jazz Concerts June/July 2026\n \nThe Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC) team returns in 2026 to present another inspiring series of engaging\, informative and interactive jazz concerts to young people in Merton Primary and SEND schools. The concerts are especially prepared for children in KS2 and feature world-class musicians from New York’s Lincoln Center and the UK. \nThe concerts will take place at St John’s Church\, High Path\, SW19 2JY. Compositions have been inspired by a wide range of sources including: sound system culture\, space\, klezmer and classic dance tunes. \nThis event will take place at Metronome in Morden\, with the ensemble live-streaming in from the live rooms in adjacent Crown Lane recording studio. \nPerformer RSVP link: Resonance Ensemble Showcase – Performer RSVP – Thur 2 July 2026 – Fill in form \nTickets: Check back soon for ticket booking link. \nAbout the Event \nMetronome shares a site with Crown Lane Studio\, a professional recording space. The pupils will perform from inside Crown Lane Studio and this will be live streamed to the audience in Metronome via a projector screen. \nThere will also be a drinks reception for family and guests from 6pm. We will also be joined by other project collaborators\, including DeafRave who will be facilitating tactile body-vests which respond to the music for all audience members to try. \nNB: Technical Rehearsal – 18 June \nTo help us prepare\, Resonance Ensemble’s usual rehearsal on Thurs 18 June (5pm – 6:30pm) will take place at Crown Lane Studio (instead of Music Centre South Wimbledon)\, so that pupils can become familiar with the space. \nParents/guardians of performers\, please ensure that your child remembers to come to Crown Lane Studio in Morden on this date (we will text you to remind you nearer the time).

DESCRIPTION:End Of Term Open Rehearsals – Summer 2026\n \nThere are no formal end-of-term concerts for most ensembles this term\, as many groups are welcoming new members and working on brand new repertoire after last term’s Royal Albert Hall concert. \nHowever\, if your child is a member of one of the ensembles listed below\, we would like to invite you to join the group for the last 20 minutes of their final rehearsal of term\, for an informal open rehearsal session. These concerts are a fantastic opportunity for students to perform a solo piece they have been working on this term in a supportive and informal concert setting. \nConcert Schedule: \n\nConcert 1 – 5pm – 5:45pm\nConcert 2 – 6:15 – 7:00pm\nConcert 3 – 7:30pm – 8:15pm\n\nNotify Your Tutor \nIf your child would like to perform at one of the concerts\, please ensure that they discuss their performance piece with their tutor before registering.
