Merton Music Foundation: Moving Music Forward since 1991.

Opportunities for your pupils

There are so many ways in which your pupils can expand their musical experience through MMF, whether that’s moving from shared to individual lessons; joining one of our many ensembles (we run regular Come & Play taster sessions), learning an additional instrument or joining our online Music Theory classes.

Want to work with us?

We are always looking for enthusiastic and committed tutors to provide tuition for a range of instruments both in Merton schools and at our Music Centre.

If you would like to tutor with MMF please email your CV and a covering letter to jobs@mmf.org.uk and we will be in touch with any vacancies. All tutors working with us are subject to an enhanced DBS clearance and two satisfactory references.

Music centre & lessons discount

MMF Tutors are entitled to claim a 50% discount on the cost of Music Centre membership and a 25% discount on instrumental lessons for their own children. Please contact us to arrange.

MMF Live: Register Your Act

MMF Live operates in a similar way to an agency, facilitating bookings through our connections to local venues, organisations and individuals, to enable MMF to respond to the various enquiries it receives.
We are developing a database of performers or groups/bands from MMF tutors, alumni and students and need your talent to help build this database! If you have an act, band or solo professional setup, we would love to be able to help provide you with professional work.
MMF Live will create a sustainable model for access to employment opportunities amongst our Tutor base and alumni as they reach professional working ages. Proceeds from MMF Live will go towards supporting MMF’s TEMPO Fund, ensuring access to learning for the next generation of gigging musicians.
