Come & Play
Come & Play
Free choir & ensemble trials
Singing in a choir or playing in a band or ensemble brings music to life in a way that’s hard to match. Playing or singing with others can also help your child progress, build confidence, make friends and enjoy exciting performance opportunities.
Our South Wimbledon Music Centre is home to a wide range of choirs, bands and ensembles for 7–18 year olds, meeting after school and on Saturdays.
As well as end-of-term and community concerts, our members perform at exciting venues and events including the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, Wimbledon BookFest, the Tower of London, Regents Park Music Festival, Wimbledon International Music Festival and the Royal Albert Hall.
If your child is aged 7 or over, enjoys singing and/or has been learning an instrument for a term or more, they can register for a FREE trial rehearsal as part of our popular Come & Play sessions.
Once registered, our team will recommend groups suited to your child’s age, instrument and ability.
OUR NEXT COME & PLAY SESSIONS: 19, 21, 21 & 23 September, 2026.
If you have a younger child? Our Step Into Music programme at Wimbledon College is for ages 2–8 and is open to children with no previous musical experience – a fun, relaxed introduction to music-making. Click here to find out more and book a free trial.
