CPD

Three adults sit on the floor in a music room, smiling at the camera during a CPD session. They are surrounded by xylophones, percussion instruments, and scattered sheet music. Shelves of drums and other instruments are visible behind them.

Book CPD for yourself or a colleague from our regularly updated rota of training. Find resources, videos and tips for developing your own music practice.

If you would like to request personalised support for your school (1/2 a day free to all SLA schools), please contact us.

“Firstly, I would like to thank you for delivering such inspiring CPD for the staff at Hillcross last term. I will be honest and say that some staff were not overly excited when they heard they were having Music CPD but absolutely everyone came away feeling excited and empowered to teach music!”

Mrs Francis, Head Teacher, Hillcross Primary School

CPD Resources

Here you will find a variety of video and other resources to help with the delivery of Music in the Primary Curriculum (aligned to the National Plan for Music and the Model Music Curriculum). The resources are designed in particular to help teachers who are not trained music specialists, however music specialists might also pick up new ideas and ‘Top Tips’ for teaching music skills more progressively, effectively and confidently.
