Lift Off Festival – Saturday 4 July, 2026

We are excited to announce this year’s Youth Council-run festival “Lift Off” will be taking place on Saturday 4 July 2026.

From 4pm – 8pm at Merton Abbey Primary School, High Path, South Wimbledon, SW19 2JY.

NB: This is an outdoor event.

Line-up 

There will be a full line-up of youth artists, bands, DJ’s and MMF Ensembles.

Local Youth Acts –

T.A.K.E, Hyperliminal, JETLAG, Amani, LOWD, Rice & Curry, Richedie, DJ Little Legs

MMF Ensembles –

DrumLine, Merton Mallets, Amplify Evolve, Junior Percussion Ensemble

Activities, Stalls, Food & Drink

There will be a range of activities, stalls and food and drink vendors on the day, including:

Caribbean food van
Ice cream van
BBQ and bar run by Merton Abbey Primary School PTA
Face painting stall
Popcorn and candy floss stand
Paper aeroplane making competition
Outdoor Games stall run by DONS local action group

So long farewell, Soo Bishop!

During the festival we will mark the retirement of our dear colleague, Soo, after over 40 years of music making in Merton. All of Soo’s friends, family and colleagues both old and new are warmly invited to join us in celebrating her remarkable career and wishing her well for the future.
