We’re delighted that our recent collaboration with New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center has been featured in a wonderful review, celebrating the impact of an unforgettable week of music-making in Merton schools.

The residency saw seven exceptional jazz musicians visit primary schools across the borough, performing, leading interactive workshops and inspiring hundreds of young people through live music, creativity and participation. The piece reflects on the energy of the sessions, the enthusiasm of the pupils and the importance of providing children with opportunities to experience world-class musicians up close.

The article also recognises the partnership behind the project, including the contributions of Pete Churchill, Justin Poindexter and MMF’s retiring Creative & Projects Director, Soo Bishop, whose vision and commitment helped make the residency possible.
