MMF Ensemble Arrival & Departure Arrangements

Please read carefully
Arrival and departure arrangements for the Royal Albert Hall are complex and vary by ensemble and individual circumstances.
Children will either:
- Attend the venue once only
- Arrive in the morning, leave the venue and return later in the day
- Have individual arrival and departure times due to child licensing requirements
Because of this, children must not be assumed to remain on site between rehearsals unless explicitly stated.
Action required – scroll down
Please open the drop-down section for every ensemble your child is involved in and carefully note the arrival and departure times listed.
If your child is in more than one ensemble, it is especially important that you:
- Check all relevant ensemble sections
- Follow the specific instructions given for each part of the day
Helpful info
Important information about child licensing
A small number of children have individual arrival and departure instructions, to ensure that they don’t remain on site longer than permitted by child licensing regulations.
Families affected by this will be contacted directly with individual arrival and departure instructions.
If you have received separate instructions, please follow those in place of the general ensemble timings below.
Collection during the day
Unless you have been explicitly told otherwise, children must be collected during the day and returned at the appropriate time for later rehearsals or performances.
Pupils in Years 10 – 11 may leave site unaccompanied, if you granted permission for them to do so when RSVP-ing for the performance.
Pupils in Y12 and above will be permitted to leave site unaccompanied.
After the concert
The concert will finish at 10pm, and all children will have been dismissed and returned to parents/guardians by 10:30pm.
NB: The end of the performance is a busy time with c. 1,200 children being dismissed to their parents/guardians. To ensure this is done safely, MMF pupils will be dismissed last – after the primary schools have completed their egress. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

If your child will be attending afternoon rehearsals and then staying on site until the concert, please ensure that they bring a packed tea with them (strictly no nuts).
No Nuts
