Royal Albert Hall 2026
Tuesday 10 March 2026
On Tuesday 10 March 2026 the Royal Albert Hall will burst with the sound of over 1,500 young musicians from Merton schools and MMF Music Centres.
An unforgettable event
‘To Boldly Go’
The theme of this year’s concert is ‘To Boldly Go’, featuring a specially commissioned suite of music called ‘Lookin’ Up – The Story of Flight’. The performance will showcase an incredible massed choir of 1200 Merton school children & local community groups, 250 young musicians from MMF’s Music Centre ensembles and professional musicians including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Olivia Murphy, Derek Paravicini, Joe Garland and Pete Churchill alongside some intergalactic special guests!
A truly unforgettable event – Merton music making at its finest!
Support our Crowdfunder
To help make this opportunity available for every child, Merton Music Foundation has launched a crowdfunder and is inviting the community to support this project. Every child deserves an opportunity like this. Help us ensure that all young people, regardless of background or circumstances, can perform on one of the world’s most iconic stages, with someone they love in the audience!
Tickets
We will be running a ticket bursary scheme, ensuring affordable tickets for all visitors and targeted free tickets for families that would otherwise struggle to attend. More information will be shared here soon.
Performer Information
Merton Music Foundation is grateful to the Royal Albert Hall for their support of this event through a charity discounted let. This is one of the many ways in which the Hall, which is an independent registered charity, supports others in the charitable sector.
