Violin Club at The Priory C of E Primary School

Learn violin at school

We are delighted to announce a new violin after-school club for Year 4 and Year 5 pupils, led by Helena Hafsteinsdóttir (Miss H).

The club will take place on Fridays from 3:15pm to 4:00pm and will provide children with the opportunity to learn and develop their violin skills in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child is a complete beginner or has some previous experience, they are welcome to join.

Cost = £68 per term (inclusive of instrument hire fee).

A young girl wearing glasses and a strawberry-patterned dress plays the violin during her instrumental lessons, looking at sheet music on a stand in front of her. She has a red and white striped hairband in her hair.

Key Info

The cost of this group is subsidised by Merton Music Foundation, the total fee is £68 for the term.

This includes 10 x 45 minute group lessons charged at £54 and instrument hire at the reduced rate of £15, so that your child can practise at home.

If you already have a violin, you won’t need to pay for the hire fee.

Continuation discount

After the club finishes, your child will be entiteld to a 40% discount on the cost of 1-1 lessons at school or an MMF music centre during the Spring and Summer Terms, should they wish to continue. Please click here to see our individual lesson fees.

Club Details

  • Dates: Fridays from the 25th of September – 4th of December excluding half term (10 weeks)
  • Time: 3:15pm – 4:00pm

To progress on their instrument, we recommend that all students practise regularly between lessons. Your child’s tutor will provide them with a practice diary within the first couple of weeks. Please use this to support their practise and to communicate with the tutor when needed.

MMF’s TEMPO Fund Discount Scheme aims to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent any child from receiving instrumental tuition from us.
