Drumathon raises over £1,000 for TEMPO
Musicians from across Merton came together for a 12-hour non-stop Drumathon to raise funds for the TEMPO programme – and the results were nothing short of inspiring.
Held at Crown Lane Studio in Morden, the event brought together MMF students, tutors, alumni families and supporters for 12 hours of non-stop day of drumming.
The Drumathon wasn’t just about stamina – it was about community. Throughout the day, tutors encouraged players of all levels, while supporters cheered on from the studio. The atmosphere was electric, and the sense of collective effort was unmistakable.
All money raised will support our TEMPO Fund, a programme that helps young people who would otherwise face barriers accessing music opportunities. Funds from the Drumathon will go directly towards tuition support, instrument provision and inclusive activities that make a tangible difference to local young musicians.
A huge thank you to everyone who drummed, donated and supported the day and the brilliant team at Crown Lane Studio for opening your doors for a good cause. Your generosity and spirit ensure that more young people can experience the joy and confidence that music brings.
