Rhythms, Reverbs and Resonance

Last week marked the final session of Resonance – our six week open access ensemble exploring electronic dance music with young people aged 14-25.
Over the past six weeks, participants have been composing, performing and experimenting with a wide range of instruments – from traditional setups to sample pads, adaptive instruments and synthesisers. Together, they developed new musical skills and created a wonderful original piece of work.
The project was made accessible and free to all participants thanks to support from MMF’s TEMPO Fund and Arts Society Wimbledon. We are also incredibly grateful to Crown Lane Studio, TiME and The Amber Trust for their support, guidance and provision of instruments and technology throughout the project.
A huge thank you to all the brilliant practitioners, partners, and young musicians who brought Resonance to life including Andy Stonebridge from the French Polishing Company for building our Resonance board.
We’ll soon be sharing a short film documenting the project, courtesy of Martijn from MP Films, featuring a professional audio recording of the final piece.
We are delighted to announce that Resonance will return in September – watch this space!
