On Saturday 19 October, the National Youth Choir is running auditions for its holiday- time choirs – read more about the NYC here: www.nationalyouthchoir.org.uk
The auditions will take place in St John’s Church, High Path, SW19 2JY (usual MMF choir venue, next door to Music Centre South Wimbledon), after the usual Young Voices / VoiceBox rehearsals and are open to children aged 9+ . They will start with a short ‘warm up’ workshop, then run in 15 min slots between 12.15pm and 3.30pm.

National Youth Choirs
If you love singing with others, National Youth Choir is for you!
National Youth Choir runs choirs for more than 1000 enthusiastic singers aged 9 to 25 each year. We are a national organisation and are proud that our members come from all over the UK, singing different styles of music from all over the world. Our members take part in inspirational residential courses during the school holidays, sing in exciting performances, record music tracks and videos, have a lot of fun, and become part of a huge network of young people who are passionate about making music together.
Interested in joining an NYC choir?
This autumn we’ll be looking for new singers aged 9-18 to join our fantastic choirs. If you’re passionate about singing and want to develop your musical skills, perform a wide range of music and make new friends, we’d love to meet you!

Free auditions for National Youth Choir (9-18 Choirs) are taking place this year in Merton!
Date & venue: Saturday 19 October at St John the Divine, High Path, Merton
Everyone can take part in the warm-up workshop running 11.30am-12.
Auditions will then take place running between 12.15-3.30pm. Audition slots are 15 minutes.

Please note, we expect all candidates under the age of 13 to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Thanks to support from our funders, auditions in Merton this year for state school students will be free. Financial support is available for all costs associated with taking part in National Youth Choir.
