This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality music education opportunities to children and young people across Merton.
Our vision is a borough where music resonates along the corridors of every school and echoes throughout the community. The Music Centre Assistant plays a vital role in realising this vision, stewarding at our busy South Wimbledon site, supporting customers, and helping to maintain an organised, efficient and welcoming environment for all.
The role is offered at 30 hours per week during term time, with regular hours across Monday evenings, Tuesday daytimes and evenings, Fridays, and Saturday mornings. However, we are open to splitting the role between two successful applicants if desirable.
Career Starter Role
We encourage applications from recent school or higher education leavers, taking their first steps into working life. We will enable you to develop new skills in a supportive and dynamic working environment. No formal qualifications are required; we will provide you with training and support to ensure you thrive.

Merton Music Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diversity and have made a vision commitment to being ‘an inclusive cultural organisation – not just in what we say, but also in what we do’. We believe that representation matters and actively seek to diversify our workforce at all levels of the organisation. We warmly encourage applications from historically under-represented groups, including but not limited to; members of the global majority; members of the LGBTQ+ community; people who identify as non-binary or gender queer; people with a disability; and people who are neurodivergent. The decision to appoint will be made solely based on candidate merit and business need.
