Contract: Employed role
Duration: One year fixed-term (possibility to extend to permanent from year two)

Our Vision is a borough where music resonates along the corridors of every school and echoes throughout the community. A place of aspiration where every child can find their first notes, make progress and flourish as a young musician. One way in which we achieve this is through the delivery of weekly General Musicianship lessons to whole-class groups of pupils in several local primary schools. This strand forms part of our In2Music programme, which also incorporates our Whole-Class Ensemble Tuition (WCET) delivery as set out in the National Plan for Music Education.
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic classroom practitioners to deliver outstanding General Musicianship (GM) whole-class lessons to pupils in KS1 and KS2 in local primary schools. The ability to teach Whole-Class Ensemble Tuition (WCET) lessons on your specialist instrument(s) is also desirable.
You will need to be able to plan and deliver high quality, age-appropriate and engaging music lessons with clarity of intent and a strong progression of activities to develop pupils’ musical skills, knowledge and understanding.
This is an employed role offered initially on a one-year, fixed term contract with the possibility to extend to a permanent post from year two. There is currently more than one full-time post of teaching available, so applications for full-time and part-time/job-share positions will be considered.
