Winter Warmer Concert Photos
The sold out Winter Warmer concert was the perfect way to start the festive season with outstanding performances from our VoiceBox and Young Voices choirs, hosts Wimbledon Community Chorus, and the Central Band of the British Legion Brass Ensemble. Proceeds from the event will support The Jack Lonergan Foundation, a local charity and MMF partner that provides music-making opportunities for young people who may otherwise face barriers.
The concert held special significance as it marked the end of 23 incredible years of choral leadership across Merton from Soo Bishop. Soo is stepping down from leading the MMF choirs and we celebrated the impact she has had on so many children and families across the borough over nearly a quarter of a century. We are delighted to welcome Immy Churchill who will be taking over Young Voices and VoiceBox from her – but Soo will still be continuing to work at MMF leading singing and curriculum work in schools and conducting Wimbledon Community Chorus.
