Resources

The new Sound Ideas programme supports delivery of NC music, closely aligned to the 2021 Model Music Curriculum. It contains documents on progression, songs, composition and listening activities, use of classroom percussion, links to excellent and easily-accessible free resources and a range of ‘Teacher Tips’ (including sets of short teaching videos). It is especially aimed at those teaching staff who are less confident or experienced in leading music.

Accessing MMF Resources

Music Lessons at Your School

Access to instrumental tuition is transformative for children and young people. Music is both a skill and a passion and the cognitive benefits of learning an instrument are well documented.

Our friendly, professional tutors offer lessons in a wide-range of instruments, including brass (trumpet, cornet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba), strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass), woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone), percussion (drum kit, world percussion, orchestral percussion), piano, electric keyboard, recorder, guitar and voice.

Lessons take place in school, during the school day. The benefits of instrumental tuition are acknowledged to justify time out from other lessons. Our tutors are fully DBS checked and complete annual Safeguarding / Child Protection updates. They are carefully selected as highly skilled practitioners and educators and will work with your staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.
