Training, Education, Musical Progression and Opportunity
1) The TEMPO Fund Discount Scheme is available to pupils of Merton Music Foundation aged 5-18 whose parent/guardian is in receipt of an eligible benefit.
2) The eligible benefits are: Income Support; Universal Credit; Working Tax Credit, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance; Income-related Employment and Support Allowance; Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999; The guaranteed element of Pension Credit; and Child Tax Credit (provided you have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190).
3) These benefits are the same as Free School Meals eligibility, therefore pupils that are entitled to Free School Meals due to their financial circumstances will qualify for support from the Scheme.
4) You must provide documentary evidence of receipt of an eligible benefit prior at the start of every school term to receive TEMPO Fund discount.

6) It is a condition of TEMPO Fund support that fees are paid by the deadline shown on the termly invoice. Lessons missed because of late or non-payment or lack of adequate application will not be backdated. If you are experiencing difficulty making payment, please contact us in confidence. In the first instance, we will seek to set up an instalment payment plan to support you. Any outstanding balances must be paid in order for an application to be considered – unless an approved instalment plan is in place.

8) Pupils receiving TEMPO Fund support will be monitored for effort and attendance. Pupils who do not attend their activity regularly, and/or fail to practise at home in between lessons, will have their financial support withdrawn.
9) TEMPO Fund discount is available for a maximum of one instrument per child and usually limited to a maximum of two children per family, other than in discretionary cases.
10) Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in the withdrawal of financial support. The full fees and hire will also become payable.
