Jazz at Lincoln Center – School Concerts

We were thrilled to welcome back our friends from New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center, who along with Mark Kavuma and former MMF tutors Flavio Li Vigni and Ed Babar, brought the spirit of jazz to life for hundreds of local schoolchildren. Through a series of engaging and interactive concerts, the young audiences learnt all about the incredible story of jazz and the legacy of Louis Armstrong – one of the most influential jazz musicians of all time.

These concerts were more than just performances – they’re an invitation to listen, learn, and participate, as students discover how jazz evolved and why it remains such a powerful art form today and also gained insight into the improvisation, rhythm and joy that define jazz.
