Sat 22 July (travel day)
It was an early start for our coachload of intrepid musicians. Here we are at Dover, waiting to board the ferry.
Lake Geneva, here we come!
Day 1: Sun 23 July
We throughly enjoyed kicking off our first concert in Evian! The picturesque lake behind us provided the perfect backdrop while we serenaded the crowd with a trumpet fanfare, guitars, jazz band, strings and concert band. The energy from the enthusiastic audience and the beautiful weather made this musical experience truly unforgettable!

Day 2: Mon 24 July
Day 3: Tue 25 July
At Parc Aventure at Aigle. Amazingly, the weather has held- dramatic thunder, lightening and heavy rain last night and staff had constructed a great Plan B – down the salt mines! Children now whizzing past from height in every direction!
We weren’t so lucky with the weather in the afternoon so unfortunately our concert in the mountain town of Gryon was rained-off. The great thing about a music tour though, is that there’s no shortage of entertainment so it was open-mic night at MMF basecamp.
Day 4: Wed 26 July
Our final concert in Yvoire.
Another tour tradition is our last night Awards Ceremony when pupils performed their own renditions of a range of pieces X-Factor style to a judging panel made up of the staff team. Judges were impressed by the creativity, coordination and virtuosity of the performances!
We also wished a fond farewell to our Year 13 Leavers – we wish you the best of luck in the future and thank you for the music!
